Work with the natural environment to survive successfully in the wild whilst travelling light!
Learn how to use nature’s provisions and take the first steps to journey confidently into the wilds of your own back garden or the world – or send your staff on a team-building day! Budding Bushcrafters will gain the vital knowledge and key skills required to survive in the wild, build a camp, use essential bushcraft tools, create the specialist camp equipment that minimises baggage and remain safe in the outdoors while enjoying the natural world.
Sessions cover a variety of Bushcraft essentials bespoke to preference.
- Tool Use – Various knives, axes, saws and bowsaws
- Campcraft – Pot hangs, clamps and tripods
- Building a shelter (A.K.A. den building!)
- Water purification
- Fire lighting – Flints, bow drills, tinders and kindling
- Outdoor cookery
- Whittling and spoon carving
- Knots, tarps and natural cordage
1-6 week programmes available. Also suitable for corporate away days or teambuilding exercises. Sessions are run by experienced Bushcraft demonstrator Rheon Wyn Roberts and are adaptable to most audiences, though tools, carving and bow drills are unsuitable for younger children.
Wild Elements also offers Bushcraft Bites. Sessions are open to the public and make a fabulous alternative and memorable adventure date with a special someone or gift for dads, mums and teenagers who love the outdoors. Bushcraft Bites is also a great way to meet like-minded people. See the Wild Elements events calendar for upcoming sessions.
